Has The Club at Gateway won any awards?
Yes. The Club at Gateway has been voted Best Private Golf Course & Country Club in the Community Choice Awards for seven consecutive years — a streak that spans the 2018 ownership transition, the $6 million clubhouse renovation, and the 2024 golf course renovation. Awards from the community, year after year, are the clearest signal of how members actually feel about the club.

What is the Summer Preview Membership at The Club at Gateway?
Instead of paying an initiation fee upfront, the Summer Preview lets you experience the club first.
Through October 11, a full golf preview membership is $1,700 and a social preview membership is $850, each with a $250 food and beverage minimum.
Golf preview members enjoy every amenity including the course, pickleball, and the practice facility.
Social preview members enjoy tennis, bocce, the pool, the fitness center, dining, and clubhouse events.

Do you have to live in Gateway to join?
No. The Club at Gateway has no residency requirement for any membership type. You can live anywhere in Southwest Florida — or anywhere at all — and be a member.

Annual dues range from $12,800 down to $3,500 depending on membership level, and each membership carries a $1,000 annual food and beverage minimum.

Is The Club at Gateway private?
Yes — it is a completely private club. Non-members may only visit as the guest of a member.

Who designed the golf course?
The course is a Tom Fazio design, and it was rated in Golf Digest's Top 100 when it debuted. In 2024 the club completed a full course renovation — new irrigation, cart paths, and regrassing — and added forward tee boxes to every par four and par five, creating a unique par 54 course inside the par 72 layout.

What about dining?
The clubhouse offers a main dining room, a grill room and pub, a private dining room, and the pool bar.

Who owns the club — and will dues go up?
In 2018, two local owners purchased the club from the members and invested roughly $6 million in a clubhouse renovation: an expanded dining room, the resort style pool, bocce and pickleball courts, tennis improvements, and the new second story fitness center.
Their ownership agreement puts two protections in writing: annual dues increases are capped at 3%, and there will never be a member assessment while they own the club. Members also hold the first right of refusal on any future sale.
